The British India 1949 1/4 Rupee coin is a stunning piece of numismatic history that represents the final years of British rule in India. Struck in copper-nickel, this coin features the profile of King George VI on the obverse, with the inscription "George VI King Emperor" and the date "1949" below.


The reverse side of the coin features the denomination of "1/4 Rupee" in English and Urdu script, surrounded by a wreath of oak leaves and lotus flowers. The mint mark, "L" for the Bombay Mint, is also located on this side of the coin.
